History
About the EPLWA Championship Division
The Evergreen Premier League of Washington's Championship Division is the league's developmental tier, built for clubs in the Seattle and North Puget Sound region that are growing their programs and building toward the top level of Washington adult soccer.
Championship Division play gives clubs a competitive, structured environment to develop players, coaches, and organizational depth — with a clear pathway to the EPLWA Premier Men's Division for clubs ready to make that step.
Regional and Connected
Championship Division clubs are concentrated in the greater Seattle and northern Washington footprint, keeping travel manageable and rivalries local. Several clubs in the division also serve as an extension of a larger club structure:
- Some are second teams to UPSL clubs, giving players a bridge into a higher level of competition and giving those organizations a deeper roster pipeline.
- Some are second teams to EPLWA Premier Men's Division clubs, allowing established league members to develop reserve and development squads within the same league framework.
- Others are independent regional clubs, competing on their own to build toward Premier Division status.
