A New Crest for a Growing League: EPLWA Branding Update
Local. Authentic. Historic. Evergreen. ALWAYS ELEVATING.
The Evergreen Premier League of Washington (EPLWA) is proud to unveil a refined identity that reflects our ongoing mission: bringing elite semi-professional adult soccer to communities across the state.
“Over the past year, the Evergreen Premier League has continued to grow — expanding divisions, welcoming new clubs, and strengthening our competitive structure across Washington. As the league develops, our identity should reflect that progress.
This evolution isn’t about changing who we are. It’s about elevating the standard we’re building toward — on the field, within our clubs, and in how we present ourselves to the communities we represent. Our original mark helped establish EPLWA in Washington soccer. This updated identity builds on that foundation and positions us for continued development and growth.”
— John Crouch, VP of Competition & Marketing

Washington’s longest-running statewide semi-pro league is a true local labor of love — built by Washingtonians, for our communities. This updated crest and brand system draw directly from the landscapes and communities that define us: towering mountains, evergreen forests, ocean blues, and foothill greens. The shield, mountains, and trees represent not just geography, but a deep-rooted connection to grassroots soccer and the communities that sustain it.
This evolution is not about replacing our identity — it’s about refining it.
The original mark established our presence. The updated crest builds on that foundation with a cleaner, more cohesive badge system designed to perform across competition, apparel, and digital platforms. It strengthens the visual authority of the league while honoring the history that built it. Additional divisions are individually represented by separate color stories.

The Evergreen Premier League was formed in late 2013 and began play in 2014. Eleven seasons have shaped the story of soccer in Washington. Champions have risen from Spokane, Vancouver, Bellingham, Yakima, and beyond. That history is not just a record of titles — it is the foundation on which current and future clubs continue to build.
“Evergreen” carries powerful meaning in our state. Washington is known as The Evergreen State — a place defined by resilience, vibrancy, and growth. In that same spirit, EPLWA remains committed to staying fresh, relevant, and community-driven while honoring the traditions that brought us here.

This league is an authentic endeavor. It was started from scratch by local leaders who believed Washington deserved a statewide competitive platform rooted in collaboration and opportunity, something that did not exist in our region during the time. Our continued partnership with the Washington State Adult Soccer Association reinforces our commitment to creating meaningful pathways for players and clubs throughout the region and gives our league strong connection points all the way to US Soccer.
Your passion for soccer is here.
Your players are here.
Your community is here.
The local choice is to build where you live. The authentic action is to invest in something your community can rally behind. The history being written each season — in newspapers, online, and on the field — strengthens soccer in Washington year after year.
Always forward.
Always local.
Always Evergreen.

About the Artist- Tony Safran
Tony Safran is a former Division I All-Conference midfielder at Manhattan College who also competed in the USL. A product of PA West ODP and historic Beadling SC, he brings a lifelong competitive soccer background to his work as a designer.
We asked Tony about the process and inspiration behind the design, here is what he had to say.
“The goal was to modernize the Evergreen Premier League brand without losing what makes it distinctly Pacific Northwest. We refined the original mark into a cleaner, more cohesive and contemporary badge system while keeping the core color story and the landscape elements that tie the league to its roots. The updated crest brings a stronger visual presence across competition, apparel, and digital platforms, while honoring the history that built it. It’s an identity designed to grow with the league.”
